I can clearly see that Loki is trying to keep himself from liking that food
Originality-wise, I think that this is a very original cosplay work. While many would choose to place themselves in the character's natural environment or something similar, you put Loki in a place completely not his style, which makes the piece all the funnier
Back on the topic of the cosplay itself, the thumbnail looked as though Tom Hiddleston himself were in it. Upon closer inspection, it still looks just like Loki to me.
As for the impact, I assume it was meant to be funny and cute... And it is
