Water magic

This is a gorgeous picture. From the setting to pose.

It is extremely difficult to pick my favorite element of this picture. It might possibly be the lighting. It is very dramatic and it frames the picture, balancing it out. It helps to keep the eye from settling in one place. Especially since the focal point of the image, Loki, isn't exactly front and center.

I think I've decided that my favorite element of this image IS that Loki has been pushed out of the center of attention. It just makes sense. In almost everything he does, Loki fights to be the center of all things but never quite makes it. Yet still, he is boxed in from all sides. The darkness pushing in from the left, and bearing down from the top. The light, pushing in from the the right, bringing everything up from below. It is almost ironic that the light in this image comes from below the water, the one thing that throws his greatest weapon out of whack.

Finally, of course, Fahr has her Loki cosplay down to a science, but it is always worth it to give credit where credit is due. Beautifully done.

5/5 For vision. The setting is perfect, the angles are perfect, the pose and clothing are perfect.

5/5 For originality. I have never seen an image like this that has been so well done.

4/5 For technique. My one concern is a loss of detail with the editing. When you look at the hair, the information is lost and it gives it a strange effect. However, that's my only complaint.

5/5 For impact. My first impression of this picture was 'wow', I was impressed. This does not come across as a cosplay picture. Even for an AU cosplay. Fahr, who is known for her great pictures, has outdone herself. Very well done.
